You were in the girl's dorm. There was no way some unauthorised civilian from outside the military were allowed access into the building. Unless, they were military.

Your stomach churned anxiously, lips quivering in evident fear as you make your way down the empty hallways. Sounds were coming through from all directions, making it difficult for you to know where they were; even the tiniest of chirps from the cicadas outside made your nerves on edge. You couldn't concentrate. Staying calm was out of the question since this had been going on for months now.

You quicken your pace and made it into the safety of your room, making sure the door was locked before letting out a sigh of relief. You let yourself slid onto the floor with your back against the door, taking in a much-needed air for your tired lungs.

You scanned the modest space of your room to make sure that no one had entered while you were gone. Thankfully, not a soul was present except your own.

What had you done to even get yourself in this situation?

It all started after you graduated from the 104th trainee squad, followed by the events of the breach of Wall Rose. After witnessing the horrors of that day, you had chosen your path to join the Survey Corps to serve humanity and slowly, the stalking that you were currently experiencing now began from then on.

You didn't know who it was but at first, you were sure that it was one of the boys from your trainee days, or so you thought; Jean was infatuated with Mikasa, Reiner was all for little Krista, Marco was no longer among the living, Connie had no time for other girls except Sasha, Armin constantly had his nose stuck between the pages of old documents and books, Bertholdt had eyes only for Annie, and Eren was too preoccupied with his goal for vengeance.

There had to be someone else, someone you weren't familiarly close with. All these silent stalking needed to end someday and you just had about enough of them.

Sudden heavy footfalls from the hallway jerked you out from your thoughts. You found yourself restraining your breath, heart thumping wildly against your ribcage and all you could do was wait in the darkness of your own room.

The steps stopped a few times occasionally, then advancing again, stopped once more and then slowly advancing forward, as if they were trying to figure out which room belonged to yours. Then, all at once, their feet stopped right outside your door.

You were alone in the building, you knew; the rest of the residents went out to have a good time at a town festival. You just didn't have the strength to go out that night due to a fever and decided it was best to stay in.

You were hoping that it was your roommate but the chances of it being her was very thin considering she had informed you days earlier that she had to make an abrupt visit back to her hometown in Stohess for a couple of days.

This was a perfect night to get yourself brutally murdered by your stalker. Whoever it was, you refuse to go down without a fight. You've killed titans countless times and to be frightened over some unknown stalker shouldn't phase you the slightest. But you were just a girl, you knew that and you were genuinely afraid.

You quickly sat up and stepped away from the door slowly, your back facing the other side of the room towards the window. Your room was on the third floor so jumping out through the windows without the assistance of 3D maneuver gear was out of the question.

The doorknob rattled, followed by loud 'sniffing' sounds that came from the opposite side of the bedroom door, which sent your head puzzling momentarily. You almost thought that they had a dog with them to track you down but that was very unlikely.

You searched around your room for something that could be used as a weapon, all you had was a small quill knife that you found on your friend's drawer.

You swiftly rushed over to the wall near the door and readied yourself, gripping the quill knife firmly in your hands for an ambush.

The continuous clicking and rattling sound from the doorknob made your heart sink, your grip on the knife tightening in fear.

The door finally opened with an eerie creak, and your eyes widened at the sight of boot-clad pair of feet stepping into your room.

With nothing else to lose, you charged towards the intruder and brought yourself down with them with a loud thud. The other person's rather large figure cushioned your form from the fall.

You lifted yourself up quickly and straddled yourself on the person's hip as you tried to take a good look at him.

"It…can't be…" You whispered, a heavy dread clouded your thoughts as you stared directly at the grey orbs staring back at you. There was no mistake, it was him.

Their hand suddenly smacked your weapon away and swiftly flipped you over beneath him with no difficulties.

"S-Squad leader Mike?" You managed a squeak, eyes darting all over the man as you tried to take in the rather strange and unthinkable truth; Mike Zakarius was your stalker.

The blond haired soldier let out a low grunt and continued staring down at you with a face that was a mixture of both shock and restrained admiration.

You fidgeted slightly, awkwardness finally taking over the situation.

"Squad leader?" You called out to him again, who seemed to be zoning out in his own little world.

You only knew him as your superior, you didn't really talk to him. Not that he talked much. Mike was a man with very few words.

You lowered your eyes slightly and saw roses scattered on the floor behind him. Guilt was slowly taking over your very soul, but somewhere in your mind, you still doubted everything.

Fear no longer resides within you now that you've discovered who the stalker was. Instead, it was now replaced with curiosity and unanswered questions. Why him? Why did he follow you around in the shadows for so long?

After making absolutely sure that he possessed no malevolent intention towards you, you tried to sit up, which broke the man's temporary hypnotic state.

"Oh, sorry." He said quickly, helping you up from the floor while trying desperately to ignore your eyes.

That was the first time you saw him looking so uncomfortable like that. As far as you knew, Mike was usually quiet and stoic. Seeing him act like that was like a breath of fresh air.

"So," You sighed, "Care to explain to me why you tried to come into my room like this? Not to mention stalking me relentlessly for months?"

A small groan escaped his lips, ignoring your questioning gaze.

"I was…I…" He stuttered, "I've liked you for the longest time. I just didn’t know how to get your attention…until now.”

His eyes were now gazing down at the scattered roses on the floor, his hard work gone to waste. "I'm not really good at this at all."

You let out an exasperated sigh as relief washed all over you like a cool current. "Squad leader, you do realise that stalking is wrong? I was so scared…I've been scared for so long… Why didn’t you say anything?"

Mike gave you an apologetic look. "I'm so sorry (name)."

He looked like a big puppy with its tail between its legs; you couldn't help but smile a little. He was indeed handsome. The fact that he tried to get your attention made your heart flutter with bliss. No man has ever tried to get to you like this.

You placed your hands on your hips as you looked up at the tall man with stern but playful eyes.

"As punishment, you have to eat lunch with me everyday!"

His eyes widened, staring down at you with those clear eyes of his. You couldn't help but drown yourself into them. "That's it?" He asked, dumbfounded.

"Got a problem with that squad leader? Or would you rather have me inform the commander that you went into the girl's dorm in the middle of the night without anybody's knowledge?"

The blond haired man couldn't help but smile at your words. A gentle expression was visible on his face and before you knew it, he leaned close to your neck and started sniffing you all over.

You froze into place, your body arched forward uneasily by his warm breath against your skin. The beard on his chin hovered close to your neck, making you blush a deep red similar to the roses on the floor.

You were aware of his sniffing habit but experiencing it first hand was weird and strangely exhilarating at the same time.

He let out a hum, the sound vibrated against your skin in a tingling sensation. He then straightened his back and a content expression washed all over his face as he gently closed his eyes—enjoying your scent for one last time.

You wondered what you smelled like to him, but decided to keep that question for tomorrow's lunch date instead.

Before he could stop himself, Mike leant down once more and pressed his lips against your cheek. You were surprised at first, but didn't mind it at all.

"I should leave now before I get caught." He said.

A small smile crept onto your lips, staring up at the awfully tall man who was now making his way to the door.

"Squad leader?" You softly called out to him.

"Hmm?"

"I think I'm starting to like you too."

I'm sorry if this sucks like hell! I'm not really good with English and I'm pretty self-conscious with my writing, but I still want to write this out and give Mike all the love he deserves ><
